Haaland has 59 Champions League goals in 59 appearances, a rate of 1.00 per game that no player with a comparable number of games has matched. Quickest to 10 (7 games), 20 (14), 30 (25), 40 (35) and 50 goals (49 games — 50th scored 18 Sep 2025 v Napoli, beating van Nistelrooy's 62). Youngest to 35 goals (22y 272d) and 40 goals (23y 130d); second-youngest to 50 after Messi. Only player to score a first-half hat-trick on Champions League debut (17 Sep 2019, Salzburg 6-2 Genk). His breakthrough came in the 2019-20 group stage with Red Bull Salzburg, when he scored a hat-trick on his debut against Genk and finished with eight goals in six games, and he kept scoring after moving to Dortmund in January 2020, including the two goals against Mbappé's PSG in the round of 16. Mbappé: the big-night specialist

He announced himself at 18 with six goals in Monaco's run to the 2017 semi-finals, including a brace at the Etihad against Manchester City. With PSG he scored a hat-trick at the Camp Nou in 2021, reached the 2020 final in Lisbon and the 2021 semi-finals, then, with Real Madrid, produced the hat-trick that knocked City out in February 2025.
